This rural home is a cluster of buildings linked with a low lying and simple flat roof. These are arranged to maximise views to the Mourne Mountains whilst creating a home which sits comfortably in its setting. Traditional window openings have been designed to fit with the context of the rural dwellings and barns. Using Slate grey corrugated sheeting, timber and burnt larch cladding; the blend of materials have been carefully chosen to allow the building to weather into its surroundings.Internally the design reflects the needs of a young family with large open plan spaces flooded with light as well as level access to a large area of garden and sheltered areas.
